My lineup included

The Summoner: Thaddius Brood

Thaddius Brood comes with 2 great debuffs. When Chaos Legion was released I expected this to be one of the best summoners. Bortus was already an outstanding summoner and Thaddius Brood adds -1 to my opponent's health also.

The Tank: Harklaw
Harklaw's shield ability is great and comes with a high starting life total.

1st position (backup tank): Carrion Shade
Carrion Shade come with the low low price of 1 mana and is a great throw in when you have 1 extra mana left to spend.

2nd position: Sandworm
The Sandworm goes from good to great with Reverse Speed in the ruleset.

Did my strategy work?
No, I got beat pretty bad. This lineup would have done much better against earth, but for whatever reason the death splinter seems to struggle against fire.

What will I try differently next time?
Next time, I may go for an earth team when I have a mana cap this high. Magic attacks would eat right through my opponent's living lava here.

Do I like Carrion Shade?
I like Carrion Shade well enough. It's a solid throw in card and works great to fill in all the spots when playing an Equalizer ruleset.
