BlueMonk AllThingsYouR Jazz Trio For Clearwater May 22 2025

This is one of two videos featuring a recent jazz combo performance.
We never rehearsed and only know eachother from the big band i've mentioned before.
On this day we are performing for a small intimate group of elderly resedents a care facility.
They always appreciate live music.

No rehearsals. Just "read it down," as they say.

We were there for two hours. Load-in was easy and all the staff were polite and accomodating. Like, tey moved stuff for us before asking us to do it.

Music was cute. Some was groovy. People liked it. They they don't care what I think. They just want the juice and that's great. I could see people closeing their eyes to hear my bass better. It was loud enough, but it's fun to close your eyes to live music.
I performed to the person with his eyes closed. I directed some other parts of my perofrmace towards a nice lady on my left.
They want to feel bass. High notes are stupid unless they are boomy. They want low-sub TRANCE!!!.
JK, they want low soft and hypnotic bass that's slightly predictable, yet capable of pleasent suprises.
Easy to write, another thing to pull it off.

I know, there are a lot of bass videos. Most videos are single songs and some are two or three songs per video. It’s hard to tell who wants to let something play-on while they chill, as opposed to a viewer that only wants 30 seconds. Comments on this topic are welcome.
