Swing Jazz Bass with HCSBigBand April 24 2025

This is older performance footage from that big band that never pays and likes to trick the musicians into performing for free.
Mostly great players with a wacky mindset that allows them to be desperate enought to actually #paytoplay.

The leadership is super weak.
If it wasn't for me, the leadership would still be counting "latin" tunes at the wrong tempo and simultaneously flicking fingers like it's a swing feel. I've already posted the video where I teach the leader how unacceptable their lack of rhythmic knowledge is in the situation. The director is not an instrumentalist and is barely a singer. Sometimes that's a bad combo. Having said that, I am grateful that the director sings some songs. It is truly better than nothing for a big band to have any singer.

Anyway, this video features two songs in one and the next video will be the same. I hope you like coffee. The background is my double espresso.
