Moon River (instrumental cover)

Moon River

Lovely melody composed by Henry Mancini for the film "Breakfast At Tiffany's". Johnny Mercer wrote the lyrics for the song which was recorded by Audrey Hepburn in 1961. In the UK, an abridged version of the song has recently been used in a Galaxy chocolate bar advert.

I'm playing the version I recorded a while back, on a wood bodied Dobro tuned to open G (D-G-D-G-B-D) The backing I used was created on Band in the Box sofware. I hope you enjoy it.

Moon River, wider than a mile,
I'm crossing you in style some day.
Oh, dream maker, you heart breaker,
Wherever you're going I'm going your way.
Two drifters off to see the world.
There's such a lot of world to see.
We're after the same rainbow's end
Waiting 'round the bend,
My huckleberry friend,
Moon River and me.
