Twitch is now allowing users to tip in cryptocurrency!

Live streaming platform Twitch announced that they would be allowing users to tip in cryptocurrency.

According to ccn.com users connect their Coinbase accounts, and will be able to tip Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, and Bitcoin Cash.

However, Streamlabs stated that it “will be looking into adding other coins in the future.”

Is this bad news for Steemit and DLive?

Competition is healthy, and with Twitch currently only allowing BTC, ETH, LTC, and BCH.. They will still be limited to those blockchains.

If we take a look at blocktivity.info we see with these 4 most days one or the other is maxed out on its capacity.

Or at least not handling the amount of transactions that STEEM handles, which also never has issues with it's CUI.

Conclusion

As we can see DLive still might be the best option for live streaming, and especially with STEEM handling the most transactions in the world with no congestion!!

Also STEEM has over 1 million users who can upvote without having to tip, and compared to Twitch users that still have to buy the crypto on coinbase & tip out of their own pocket!

So when I think of the future of blockchain, and social media I still see the OASIS from 'Ready Player One'..

You will see that I have talked about this being possible here since I joined the first week Steemit launched!

Now I know that there might have to be some upgrades, but if there was any blockchain/community that I believe in for the future it's the STEEM community!

So let Twitch figure it out the hard way, and we will continue building the great community that we have grown to over 1 million users, and while still handling the most blockchain transactions globally!
