Burning the Body (free verse)

Not feeling like uttering a single word
Not feeling like knocking down doors

Not feeling

Dense clouds roll down, call it healing

Can't find middle ground, polar magnets are opposite.
Golden heart, Don't bother it.

Disconnected to my heart and head. Much like being dead.
No skill involved, just a way of life. Rolling with the emptiness.
Black holes coming from all directions.
Fucking my mind with no protection.

I never want to do this again.
Tired of leaving my body to find peace.
Humbled by these walls I've built.
Never leaving these walls again.
Too many questions to answer you.
My time is short, not unstoppable.
Just hard to create beauty when I don't feel anything less than exhausted.
Another lie I tell myself with this abundance of wealth I keep on the shelf,
as if I could ever keep it for myself.

Release the tension, pause for good measure.
There's a thin line between pain and pleasure.
Borderline thoughts watch me split in half.
Two world's apart, another fork in the path.

Open your eyes and see there's no path to be found.
Burn the body to which you are bound.
No pain no gain is a simple way to put it.
Burn the body
and by that I mean use it.
Manifestation of truth is in the way you carry yourself.
No reason to fret, now that's bad for your health.

Perfection is not wealth it's a point of view.
Perfection is what I see when I look at you.
With your squiggle tooth and your squinty eyes.
There's even perfection in all of your lies.
Do or do not, there are no tries.
So burn the body and gain the wise.
Your own thoughts will be your demise.
