Finally! A pizza with pepperoni.

The last time I had pepperoni was when someone brought me one on their flight to Argentina. I rarely buy or eat pizza because there is no Italian sausage offered. Pepperoni is another one that I sought high and low for twenty years. To no avail.

Lots of pizza places show pictures of pizza with little round red things, but when you go in and look at the menu, you never see anything like that.

If it were not for the fake lock down, I may not have ever found this place. I saw a picture on the quick-delivery app - it showed pepperoni on the menu, and the it even said pepperoni so I gave it a shot. I ordered one last weekend. It arrived with authentic meat disks on it!!!

The only problem was that there were only about 10 of them on the whole pizza. So today I ran out and found the place, it is called Kentucky, and I ordered one with extra pepperoni. They put up a fight, "It doesn't come like that!", but a cash incentive swayed them.

I pressed my nose against the glass as I peeked into the ovens and watched the pizza-man build my pizza. Here, they put the pizza in the oven with lumps of cheese on them. When the cheese gets soft, they pull out the pizza and spread it like frosting on a cake !?!?! huh? But mine came out for a break from the heat, the cheese was spread, and it got its layer of wall to wall pepperoni! I bet that is mine. Now my mouth started watering. It went back in to toast the meat, and I knew this would be a post for Hive.

I have a feeling I will be eating more pizza in the near future. My lack of interest in liquid-cheese pizza has been palpable for years and years. Now I know that something new is available, I will be more apt to order. I would really love to be able to buy these amazing sausage slices and make my own pizza at home (add mushrooms and black olives), but for now Kentucky will suffice.
