Quick catch up with friends

Hello! Wow, it's been ages since my last post. 💖 I promised I'd be more active here since I only post short stuff, but life had other plans.

My friends/former co-workers and I agreed to catch up this month. Obviously, we'll meet at BGC. Niko and Kimmy waited for me and Mae at SM Aura, and then we headed to Highstreet.

We were in search of a good spot to eat. They initially wanted to go to Shake Shack, but then I mentioned the food court near Because Coffee where they could have more options. They had no idea there's one, so I brought them in.

We looked for food and ended up choosing Pepper Lunch. Niko also got Nachos. We chilled until 7 or 8pm, catching up on each other's lives. I can't believe I forgot to go to Kimmy's baby's birthday last January. My mind was elsewhere! I was totally shocked when she posted her baby's birthday without inviting me, and I was like, "Wait, he's already 1?" And then she was like, "I invited you on messenger with a video." I thought it was just a cute video of her baby, so I reacted with 'love'.

Lesson learned: don't drop an emoji-react until you've watched the whole video.

I gave them a heads up that I won't be having any drinks with alcohol when we hang out. They couldn't believe it and just responded with "haha" to my message!! When we saw each other, I was like, "I'm serious!" They still couldn't believe it, but they respected my decision. Sober for months and absolutely loving it. All I want is to have a chill hangout with them.

The funny thing is, Mae and Kimmy reminded me of my most embarrassing tipsy moment. We initially just wanted haircuts but we got tipsy instead. Lol. Niko admitted he's never been drunk before, so he wants to join me, Kimmy, and Mae. They all warned him about the possibility of having an embarrassing yet unforgettable moment, just like Kimmy and Mae did when they first went out for drinks with me. They asked for a fun night of drinking, so I made it unforgettable for them 😄

Kimmy had to bounce by 8 'cause she's heading to Laguna. Niko, Mae, and I still managed to grab coffee at Starbucks, where Niko's sister works as a barista. We saw the hiring sign and thought, why not apply for the experience?

It feels good to catch up with them. I'm the youngest in the squad and I always pick up some wisdom from these three. We missed Caren though, she was still working when we left. It was a good time! Looking forward to seeing them again this March!
