Newbies Task 6: Enjoying Blockchain Games

It was another week on the Newbies initiative programme and was worth it as always.

This time around, we were exposed to Blockchain Games.

This has been an aspect of the Hive Blockchain that I have been seeing and reading about since I joined on Hive but then I didn't know where to start from, I was finally happy when it was discussed by @ksam and I thank @starstrings01 immensely for organising this programme.

Thanks also to my team leader @justfavour for his guidance throughout this initiative.... I really appreciate you my boss.

As the custom implies, we should be able to answer some questions following the tutorial and here I am for the answers...

Well, it's not the first time I personally started playing games, Infact, I still play games a lot (my FIFA and PES games) but then unlike these games I enjoy playing, there are few things unique with Blockchain games....

• Playing Blockchain games, I get to Play and Earn.
  Isn't it wonderful and amazing to even think about it?
  The fact that you will play games and you will earn from playing the games is really amazing for me.
  You get to earn in-game cryptocurrencies that are tradeable unlike what I call "audio money" we earn from other games that we can't actually use for any meaningful thing aside from buying players and the rest on the game.

• You earn NFTs
  Non-fungible Tokens are digital assets with a lot of values and could be earned by playing blockchain games.
  They are very unique and we can earn a lot when we sell them.

This is also something you don't get to earn from playing other normal games we play.

There are many Blockchain games available on Hive that you could access just by having Hive account but I will just name four of them here....

• Splinterlands:

The in - game currency of splinterland game is $SPS.

• PsyberX:

The in-game currency of PsyberX gsme is $DBLN.

• Muterra:

The In-game currency of Muterra game is $MUT

• DCity:

The In-game currency of DCity game is $DCity

Yes, NFTs are very important from what I learnt.

NFTs (Non-fungible tokens) are important on Blockchain games because asides from giving us money when we sell them, they can also be used to perform some activities while playing the Blockchain games....

These NFTs are used for performing some actions on these Hive Blockchain games such as buying playing time and life recovery too..

Well, I'll be picking Rising Star Game, hehe.

The reason isn't far fetched though... Atleast I can be watching @ksam Tutorial Here and be setting the game up since honestly, I haven't explored Blockchain games before.

Rising Star Game is a game built on the Hive Blockchain.

It is a music career game and revolves around starting from a music novice fighting your way up to the top... The Professionals.

The in-game currency of Rising Star Game is $Starbits and $Starpro token.

I attempted playing the game and for a music lover like myself, I am already biased with my review, hehe.

What I love the most is the melodious calm soundbeat that welcomes you when you log in... It is very nice to the ear also.

Rising Star Game for me is very nice and I will really play it often from henceforth... It's really a nice one (not to think of when I saw the Starbits on my account already, hehe, why won't I play it often 😂)
