Cities: Skylines gameplay 04-05

Building up my city in this game, already have a population over 10k. I have played this game a few times already but usually stop building once I get to around 5k. So glad I was able to add enough infrastructure to this city to get that far. This game is a lot like sim city, but with much better graphics. I have been playing around with this game for a few years, and pretty cool to see how far it has come. I has had lots of DLC added so the game sees alot of expansions over the years.

Using different filters I can see how the town is doing. Adding lots of hospitals and grave yards help a lot. Some filters show water usage, others show crime, or education levels for a district.

It is fun just watching the city function.

The budget screen allows me to set costs for different parts of the city. I am usually adjusting water and power as that fluctuates the most.

Some thing new to me is adding harbors along the water ways.

Checking on the boats I can see what they are catching and how full they are.

They all go back to the harbor when full and unload.. Adding more revenue to the city.

I build two parks and connect them using nature trails, we shall see if they are used.

Tried to build another harbor, this time for fishing tours but seems the land would not let me build a road to the building.

Using a tool I added more land and tried again.

I add some taxi depot's as well and will help with the traffic some what.

That round about in the middle of the city is looking quite busy.

Traffic is piling up coming into town.

Even the bridges are getting lots of use.

I add a timber district and then zone for agriculture. One of the expansions for this game gives you access to agriculture and can zone for different resources.

As my city grows I need to pump more water in and get rid of more sewer water. Adding pumps and drains help but it starts polluting the water near by. So its important not to fish there where the water is all nasty.

I finally add an university, you get a lot more tax revenue if your city is populated by educated people and have high paying jobs.
