Last week @remotehorst23 and I started working on a video for the @eosracing team in which I participate. While @remotehorst23 does the complete scene design and animation, I wanted to support him in rendering single scenes and the whole animation. In addition, I've been itching to send a high-performance graphics card to use at BOINC for some time now. So last Saturday I took the chance at mindfactory.de and bought the Phantom Gaming X Radeon VII 16G from Asrock for 699 €. On Tuesday the good piece arrived and was installed directly.

In the evening the first tests took place at the rendering in Blender. Unfortunately, the graphics card is exactly there, currently behind my expectations. Apparently the drivers are not optimal yet. I hope that this will change soon.

Fortunately, there's another area of application where I can really challenge the card. I haven't had WUs calculated by BOINC on the graphics card for almost a year now. Since Tuesday the time has come again. Because there were already questions in the forum of rechenkraft.net regarding the card, I will try to calculate the required projects on the card and also vary the graphics card settings.

Weil es bereits Fragen im Forum von rechenkraft.net zur Karte gab, werde ich versuchen, die benötigten Projekte auf der Karte zu berechnen und auch die Einstellungen der Grafikkarte zu variieren.
