Hello Afri-tunes community, it's week #74 of our weekly contest and as always I'm super excited to share my entry. I trust we all are doing good. For this week, I'd be performing a song by Nigerian singer-songwriter and record producer "Davido" called "Jowo" off his third studio album "A Better Time" which was released in 2020.

In the song, the singer begs his love interest not to leave,she should stay with him because he's head over heels in love with her. Jowo which is a Yoruba word means Please. The singer hails the parents of the girl for bringing forth such a beaut and promises never to get tired of her talk less of losing her. He assures her of his love for her and pleads with her repeatedly. She's his everything, and he would do anything for her. He just really wants her to listen to him, believe him and trust him. He really means well, he wants to get married to her so he can spend the rest of his life with her. She totally changed him, as he had to hang his boots (player 😉) just for her...lol he had to calm down and man down for only her, hopefully she would finally listen to all his plea and accept him 😌. Hola comunidad de Afri-tunes, es la semana #74 de nuestro concurso semanal y, como siempre, estoy muy emocionada de compartir mi participación. Confío en que todos estemos bien. Para esta semana, interpretaría una canción del cantautor y productor discográfico nigeriano "Davido" llamada "Jowo" de su tercer álbum de estudio "A Better Time", que se lanzó en 2020.

En la canción, el cantante le ruega a su interés amoroso que no se vaya, que se quede con él porque está perdidamente enamorado de ella. Jowo, que es una palabra yoruba, significa por favor. La cantante saluda a los padres de la niña por dar a luz a tal belleza y promete no cansarse nunca de ella ni hablar menos de perderla. Él le asegura su amor por ella y le suplica repetidamente. Ella es su todo, y él haría cualquier cosa por ella. Realmente quiere que ella lo escuche, le crea y confíe en él. Tiene buenas intenciones, quiere casarse con ella para poder pasar el resto de su vida con ella. Ella lo cambió por completo, ya que tuvo que colgar las botas (jugador 😉) solo por ella ... jajaja, tuvo que calmarse y ser hombre solo por ella, con suerte finalmente escucharía todas sus súplicas y lo aceptaría 😌.
