Feathered Friday - Commoners
Here are a couple common species I saw this past week for this #featheredfriday
This dove landed on my balcony. I suspect it is looking for a new nesting spot.
It seemed to think my wife's flower beds looked like a perfect spot to lay an egg.
Then my daughter yelled out, IT'S A BIRD!!! Now it realizes this is not a good spot for a nest lol. Thankfully too there would be a huge pile of poop on the balcony by the time it will have hatched and raised its chicks.
Later on in the week I took a visit to a small farm and noticed sparrows everywhere starting their pairing up.
The males were quite loud and fought with each other.
The females looked on for the toughest badest guy to pair up with.
Others got scolded away.
These three are still waiting for a mate.
This one already paired up and has a nest stuffed in an open area of the barn wood. Soon there will be fledglings everywhere...
That's all for now, thanks for looking :-)
