World Heritage Day | 18 April

World heritage day is an annual event celebrated on 18 April of each year.

  • The day aims to spread Awareness of the importance of protecting and preserving various sites around that have achieved world heritage status.
  • Everyone in their life span produce something exceptional that they want to preserve for eternity or atleast until their death so think about similar master pieces produced by 1000s of life working together such as all seven wonders of world. I think these sites deserve preservation as they represent the rich culture and technology of that time.
  • This year theme is Heritage for generations emphasizing on intergenerational transfer of knowledge.
