Why not make your own seasoning mixes?

It's incredible how quickly the expense of those little packets or jars can add up. Seasoning mixes, like Taco Seasoning, are just a combination of basic spices that you probably already have in your cupboard. Making your own spice blends saves you time and may be a fun activity, and saves money. Plus, the flavors are to your tastes!

My Taco Seasoning Recipe

These are the spices that you will need:

And the measurements are:

1 tablespoon Chili Powder

1/4 teaspoon Garlic Powder

1/4 teaspoon Onion Powder

1/4 teaspoon Oregano Leaves

1/2 teaspoon Ground Paprika

1/2 teaspoon Ground Cumin

You may use up to 1-1/2 teaspoon of Ground Cumin to your liking.

1/2 teaspoon Ground Black Pepper

Mix the spices thoroughly.

Put it in a container and cover it tightly, ready to use!

Seasoning mixes are fantastic gifts too.

You create your own seasoning mix, and give it away as a gift without putting a strain on your budget!

If you need recipes for spice mix, just holler. Aside from the Taco Seasoning, I make Cajun Seasoning, Garam Masala, Italian Seasoning, and a BBQ Rub.
