Lesson Learned: Plan and Budget for Miscellaneous

Part 6.

Plans! Let me tell you about plans! No matter how good you make them. Craftily checking what's in and what's out, you can never make a plan that's fool proof, error proof, that would go according to what you've imagined.

There will always be pluses and minuses, most times pluses. You can schedule ever so much only to fall terrible short or be in need of a lot more eventually. Event planners know this, organizers know this and if you staged a show or event, you would know that it's true.

So it's the case of the first Cryptosilv Business Summit. Even with seasoned logistics, our plans were not followed strictly. Instead they skyrocketed into something we haven't projected.

At first glance, the program was to start at ten but due to delayed arrangement, it was postponed to eleven. Then at eleven only a handful of people had arrived.

And success overall but costs run into hundred of thousands if not budgeted for could have ruined the program. In all we learned that you have to plan for miscellaneous into the thousands else unforseen occurrences might mar your program.

So are you planning for a program? Budget for miscellaneous into the thousands.
