Wednesday Walk Around the Flats Complex

The description said, "Your walk does not have to be on a Wednesday, but if it's possible, share your walk photos on a Wednesday." Thank God for that 😁 This is the story of my walk from last Wednesday, but I'm only now posting it.

The past few days in Jakarta, it has been cloudy every morning. Last Wednesday, it was a sunny morning, so I decided to take a morning walk. I took Rainy with me and put him in his cargo bag. We went to the flat complex across the street.

This flats complex is like an apartment complex, we called it “rumah susun” or “rusun” for short. Built in 1981, the complex consists of 60 towers, each of which is a 4-storey building. Each floor consists of 2-4 units of 36 sqm.

Actually, I often walk to this complex to buy breakfast or to buy things like vegetables, etc. at the greengrocer. In fact, when I was a child, I used to play at this place with my friends because some of them lived there.

This time, I went for a walk with the intention of going around this complex, from one block to another. Enjoy the sunny morning and the plants.

On the basketball court, I took Rainy out of his cargo bag so he could play and sunbathe. But he hesitated. Maybe he wasn't familiar with the place. So he just sit on his cargo bag and looked around.

After a while on the basketball court, Rainy still didn't dare get out of the bag. So we went home.

I was quite satisfied with a leisurely walk for about an hour under the morning sun with my little company. Even though I live in an urban and densely populated area, I'm grateful that there is still open space and a little greenery.
