What are Hive Resource Credits?
Hive Resource Credits
- Resource Credits are like virtual coins you can use to do stuff on Hive.
- They are based on how much Hive Power you have, which is like the amount of money you put into Hive.
- You get Resource Credits for free and can use them for voting, commenting, transferring, or power ups.
How do I get Resource Credits?
- You get Resource Credits based on how much Hive Power you have.
- You need to have at least 15 Hive Power to start getting Resource Credits.
Do I need to buy more if I run out of Resource Credits?
- No, don't worry. Resource Credits will come back over time, about 22% a day.
- It will take 5 days to get all your Resource Credits back if you run out.
Can I buy Resource Credits?
- No, you can't buy Resource Credits. You can only get them by having Hive Power.
Can I give my Resource Credits to others?
- Technically No, Resource Credits are tied to your Hive Power and you can't give them away.
- But you can delegate some HivePower to someone and the Resource Credits that come with it will be transferred to them. So this is a common way of giving new accounts enough resource credits to post, comment and upvote.
- You also can delegate respurce credits to others, and you could do so for free or for a fee.
How much do the typical transactions cost in Resource Credits?
- Here are the costs for different transactions:
Votes: 282,000,000
Transfers or Power Ups: 259,000,000
That's it.
