Work From Home versus the Company headquarters

• I started a new job, working from home, and so far I am really enjoying it.
• This is my third attempt at WorkFromHome Employment
• I am also slowly becoming aware of the large number of other people who also work from home, and I wonder if at some time in the future, this will become the norm, and working in the office become the exception.

Work From Home would change the look and feel of everything

• Work from home has the advantages of saving gasoline, reducing air pollution, and saving employees commute time.
• It is so common for people to spend 2 to 3 hours commuting each day.
• It would be amazing to see what would happen if you give people that two hours back.
• Perhaps they spend more time with their kids, or learn to speak a second language, or learn to code.
• A switch to the majority of people #working from home would change our environment, by making mass transit less needed and less prominent in our viewscape of our towns and cities.
• More people would be involved in recreation, and perhaps their would be more parks and green spaces versus bus stations and parking structures.
• Cities would look completely different, and perhaps people would move to the country and other remote environments.
• City population density would change, and some services would move out of the city to service their needs.
• Plus having two home based jobs would become easier, as work evaluation would become productivity and quality metrics, versus just showing up on time, and looking busy for 8hours.

Transportation might change

• People have different needs for work and recreation.
• When you vacation you splurge more, like get a first class ticket.
• You transportation needs become more about comfort and convenience instead of getting you from Point A to Point B.

The future

• I think working from home will also evolve into more indecent contractor roles and less employee roles.
• In addition I think people will function more as consultants and specialized service providers with more autonomy, freedom and different motivations towards doing a good job not as an employee, but more like a business, where the employer stops being a boss, and starts being a customer.
• Then when we get paid in cryptocurrency, the former employee, now business person will be in complete control.
