Decentralized Social Media: Classifying Sites In Five Categories
Decentralized Social Media: Classifying Sites In Five Categories
This is a very good article by Tech Writer Mike Dalton. As the title suggests He divides the decentralized social media Apps into give types. He discussed his classification system and the criterion he used to create each one.
The article is good in terms of both his organization and his informative style which explains some of the terms he uses in everyday language, so that not only are you learning the system you are learning some new words useful in this niche, cryptocurrency as well.
This discussion was triggered by the recent YouTube crypto ban, which may become known as the ban which sparked a revolution. There is new excitement and energy in the cryptocurrency space as people become excited about free speech, censorship, deplatformization and demonetization. It’s an exciting time and I am enjoying it.
Social Media platform users are learning and YouTube, Steemit, 3Speak, D-Tube and D-Live are receiving a fair amount of media attention and scrutiny. We are enjoying our moment of fame as a DApp decentralized application, but we must be careful not to promise the sun, moon and stars. Disappoint can turn to hate, and charges of scam very quickly.
