I did emergency ATM maintenance work using a very simple technique.
This morning, an emergency call came in. An ATM booth of Dutch-Bangla Bank needed to be serviced for urgent maintenance. After receiving the call, I quickly left for the booth with the necessary tools. We all know how important an ATM booth is in banking services, so if there is a slight malfunction, customers have to suffer greatly. Out of this sense of responsibility, I quickly reached the spot.
After going to the booth, I first took out the main mechanism or cash dispenser unit inside the ATM machine to check it. After opening the machine, the problem became clear. The condition of the rubber belt and rollers used for transferring money inside was quite bad. Due to continuous operation for a long time and due to dust and friction inside, the rubber lining or grip on one of the main rollers had completely worn out.
The roller had worn out and the sponge-like part inside had come out in a worn out condition, which looked like a rough or worn out shoe.
These belts and rollers are basically used to pull out cash trusts or money accurately. Since the grip of the roller was damaged, it could not rotate properly and there was a serious risk of getting stuck (cash jam). In some cases, even if money was deducted from the customer's account, the money would not come out of the machine.
Seeing the situation, I started working without delay. I carefully removed the defective roller and belt that had worn out. Then I cleaned the entire mechanism thoroughly and installed a brand new and high-quality rubber belt and roller perfectly. I checked several times whether each connection and moving part was set correctly.
After putting everything together, I locked the cash dispenser unit back inside the machine. Then I turned on the machine and ran a test transaction. The balance was successfully displayed on the screen and the entire process of withdrawing money was completed without any hassle. I felt a different peace of mind seeing that the machine was back to normal and fully functional. It feels really good to have successfully completed this urgent and challenging morning task.
This was my arrangement for today. I hope you liked the pictures I took and the nature observations. Wishing everyone good health, I bid you farewell here today.
