ATTENDED AN ISLAMIC PROGRAM AT THE MOSQUE

Greetings everyone, I am delighted to share with everyone in this great community yet another exciting day of mine. I hope we are all doing great and hoping for the best in life. No matter the situation one finds himself or herself let’s have it in mind that we will be successful and everything will be alright.

Growing up I have always made myself available for religious activities at the mosque. I have been active and various activities this is as a result of my parents also been active

At the program at the Mosque

The program which was been held at the mosque was the remembrance of one of leaders who fought for the well-being of the religion. It was a great honor to be part of this program because I really do enjoy staying about history and past events that happened. The leader we were remembering for his great works and activities was called Basheerudeen Ahmed. It was during his era of leadership we had the world wars in session. But out of his divine power and great leadership skills he was able to overcome all the challenges and difficulties.

The program was slated to begin at exactly 8:30am but you know due to African behavior we started the program close to 10am. That not with standing we were able to accomplish our day’s activities and for that matter all the speeches to be delivered were done and we learnt a lot of them.
I was honored to be given the opportunity to deliver one of the opening speeches at the program. It was a very brief one and didn’t entail a lot of details but just few.

At first I was panicking a lot and you how it feels to stand infront of a wide crowd of people and speaking to them. I was getting tensed up as time passed by when we had our opening prayer. The master ceremony of the program then called on someone to recite the some potions of the Holy book to the gathering which I knew after that I was coming up next to deliver the speech.

At this point I wanted to just collapse and move out but I had this strategy I learnt from my basic school days where I was engaged in public speaking. I will take a deep breath and try to have eye contact with the people with different facial expressions. I do smile a lot and sometimes have to squeeze my face depending on the phrase I am reading my speech from.

The moment before I was called to come and deliver my speech, all the fear and anxiety had escaped from me and I came back to normal afterwards. It was as if I had no burden on me. In fact I felt very relieved and was able to flow very well. I then stepped out and gave out my best and delivered the speech to the fullest.

I was applauded after that and other speakers to came and delivered their best, it was a very nice experience and the program came to a successful end. We all departed to our various homes.
That was how my attendance at the Islamic went.
