Weekend With My Boiler Chicken
Today's been a weekend, I was stressed up from working during the week so I don't have much strength to work at my Farm, so I resort to tend to my chickens instead.
Last time I talked about how the prices of Chickens has skyrocketed especially now that we are a month to December festive period, that was why I decided to get some Boiller species chicken and raised them in anticipation that they will be matured and ready to eat by then.

The chicken cage is cleared at an interval of three to four days, it's five days today so it getting messy already. So I out the chickens out while they walk about the house as I clean there cage. First I cleared there house with the aid of a a Shovel and Packer to get out there faeces mixed with sawdust, I packed it to a edge beside the fence so that I can use it as manure later in my vegetable garden.
After clearing there house, I added some disinfectant to a bucket of water to sterilize thee cage as I wash it and clean it up with a broom. Using the broom to clean all angles and using the disinfectant water as to get ride of bacteria and maggots which has hidden in-between the faeces mixed with sawdust, and give there cage and surrounding a change of air. Then I open up the cage door to give so it can get dried up on time, then I washed the Feeder and Water Pot
When the poultry cage has dried up I filled it up with sawdust, spreading it evenly around the cage floor , then spray the cage with disinfectant once again. I then fill up the water pot with water and also put some food in the Feeder, then set the two at a point into the poultry cage.
I had to start chasing the Chicken round about the compound before I could get them back into the cage, after which wash of the tools (broom, bucket, bowl, shovel, packer) I worked with.
After all this I freshened up, had breakfast and had a wonderful time with my family, while we for tomorrow service in church.
Thanks for coming by my blog, I hope your weekend was cool and calm, I had some fun too.
