Moon Orchids

Moon orchids are one of the most beautiful flowers in the world. In my country Indonesia, the moon orchid flower is designated as 'flower of charm.'

Blume is a botanist from the Netherlands. When he saw the moon orchid, flowers in the forest, he thought of a flock of butterflies perched on a wooden branch. Therefore, the moon orchid flower is classified in the genus Phalaenopsis which means butterfly in Greek.

Moon orchids can flower for three times a year. This type of orchid grows well in the shade with good air circulation.
