Črn Škrat - Sprema Se Oluja

Matej Kavčič, a Slovenian singer-songwriter from Ljubljana, made his debut in 2019 as Črn Škrat (Engl. Black Dwarf). He says of his music:

Musically, I draw a lot from American primitive guitar, which is why I call it Ljubljana primitivism.

He uses open tunings, but includes everything from sevdah, flamenco, chansons, folk/ethno, Balkan, Indian classical, blues. The themes of the lyrics are related to travel, language and politics. Sprema se oluja in English means A storm is brewing.
