Friday! Actifit Report Card: October 3 2025

It was another nice day and we went for a walk with my wife. At work it was another busy day and I was surprised to learn that I got a great annual review on my first year as a solution architect and will get to keep my merit pay. Usually that doesn't happen when you are promoted to a different position that is also in a different classification.

I also managed to upgrade my Splinterlands SPS validator node to the new version that just came out 1.2.0. It is a hash block breaking update so if you don't upgrade before the block hits then validator will stop working. We have until October 16th so I made it way ahead of time.

In this post I am using the images from my new phone, I really like the quality of the pictures and how responsive the phone is and that I don't have to worry about the battery anymore.

Crypto is doing really well with bitcoin at 122k and ETH at 4.5k and even Hive doing much better. Feels like October has quickly started as an Uptober. I would not be surprised if there is another sharp correction this month as everyone is expecting a great month for crypto.

Since our son started his graduate school at the university of Washington he hasn't been over here for a workout or any other reason. Hopefully he has time this weekend.

I like working out with him as well take time to work out and talk as we are working out and catch up on what is going on in his life. Because let's face it: we old farts at almost fifty years old have a lot less interesting stuff going on compared to twenty some years old guys.

We had a good evening talking tonight, but didn't get to watch anything today as school started and our daughter has lots of homework and needed help with it, so wife took care of it.
