STEM in Education - My Vocation and Passion

After finding this wonderful community and looking further into it's tokenomics and content being posted, I am hooked. To get started, I'd better introduce myself in terms of STEM.....

I am a trained Science and Mathematics teacher and STEM has been my passion through my vocation for many years. It is difficult to get the time to post about STEM related content with vigour and accuracy but I am willing to get those really engaging items out there into the community and share whatever I come across, particularly in relation to STEM in education.

Over the past 15 years (and during my own education), I have witnessed a fundamental change in STEM and the impact it has had in a school setting. With the rise of digital technology came the focus on building and expanding the skills of students into creative, complex thinkers and STEM subjects are the perfect fit for this.

The amalgamation of Science, Engineering, Technology, Mathematics and even the Arts (STEAM) as a powerful conglomerate of subjects, has empowered students and schools to develop these important cognitive skills. Previously, these subjects were traditionally taught as stand-alone but schools are shifting towards creating more project-based subjects that incorporate all of these subjects and are skills based.

This community is a hot-bed for ideas and sharing and I am looking forward to being able to share and gain inspiration from the community to aid in my professional development and benefit the students that I teach.

I feel that this community had a definitive niche and subject matter that is important, relevant and inspiring.

Thanks for reading.
