Can Germans rap?
Many people assume that Germans are offended by Nazi references in US series. Most of the time, I am not. (By the way, which logical fallacy am I comitting here?)
What gets under my skin though, is when people make fun of my beloved native language:
-- "Hey, can I show you this German rapper who I really like...?"
-- "A German, hihihihihi, rapper? He raps in, hihihi, German?!"
So now I'll prepare myself for the worst, post the two hiphop tracks I've listened to the most last month and ask the Steemit community right upfront:
Can Germans rap?
-- Ja
-- Nein
-- Vielleicht (maybe)
Trailerpark, "Sterben kannst Du überall" ("You can die anywhere")
Curse, "Was Du bist" ("What you are")
Oh, and while we're at it, I'll also post the hiphop song that I've probably listened to the most of all German hiphop songs ever:
Beginner, "Hammerhart" ("hammerhard" ;))
One thing, at least, is for sure: Without German cars, old school hiphop videos would have only been 73.4 % as cool.
