Our model train adventure - part 7: The base plate
Some days after Christmas we already joint all tracks together and put them on the wooden boards that once are going to be the base plate. Thereby we could also test the train and enjoy seeing it going around. We also were able to see how all buildings and streets etc. will fit together in future.
Of course we had to rethink and rework our initial plans again and again.
Today was the day when we finally mounted all four boards on two cross members and then put them on two foldable table stands.
After lunch we put filler between the boards so that we get a smooth base plate.
Now it's time to let the filler become dry. In the meantime we are going to watch the handball match Austria vs. Germany.
