HIVE Camp 2021: Mittwoch / Wednesday - Romanshorn

Intro

Der erste Tag des HIVE Camps steht an. Da es aber erst gegen 17 Uhr losgehen wird habe ich Zeit die Gegend weiter zu erkunden. Mit einem Hasenrad ging es forsch entlang des Sees in Richtung Romanshorn.

The first day of the HIVE Camp is coming up. But since it won't start until 5 p.m. I have time to explore the area further. With a rabbit wheel I went briskly along the lake in the direction of Romanshorn.

Kaum kommt ein Pier in Sicht versuche ich das Motiv zu erkennen und dann festzuhalten.

As soon as a pier comes into view, I try to recognize the motif and then hold it.

Die Parkanlagen von Romanshorn laden geradezu ein sich niederzulassen und dem Treiben der Schiffe zuzusehen. Ob Fähre oder Ausflugsdampfer, Linienschiff oder kleine private Kähne - hier ist alles vertreten.

The parks of Romanshorn invite you to sit down and watch the ships go by. Whether ferry or excursion steamer, liner or small private barges - everything is represented here.

Und natürlich Schwäne! Ein paar Bilder von den schönen Tieren, die sich recht kooperativ verhalten haben.

And of course swans! A few pictures of the beautiful animals that behaved quite cooperatively.

Im Hafenbecken ist ständig Bewegung da die Linienschiffe hier wie Taxis unterwegs sind.

In the harbor basin there is constant movement because the liners are here like taxis.

Der Bahnhof liegt direkt neben der Anlegestelle der Fähre, daneben der schön renovierte Kornspeicher.

The train station is right next to the ferry pier, and next to it is the beautifully renovated granary.

Zum Abschluß meines Besuches gab es dann noch ein Eis in der Waffel. Was soll ich sagen, es war sehr lecker, und große Kugeln waren es auch, aber 7 Euro für zwei (2!) Kugeln sind schon echt happig.

At the end of my visit there was an ice cream in the waffle. What can I say, it was very tasty, and it was big balls too, but 7 euros for two (2!) Balls is really steep.
