It’s funny how a post develops sometimes. Originally the plan was to write about a different topic, but then I heard a quote I really liked and it got me thinking about quotes to live by.

So with that said this Real Talk post will aim to inspire through quotes (as opposed to the usually theme of shedding light on a societal issues or doing a comedic rant about societal themes).

As opposed to focusing on popular quotes from American history, such as:

• "Try not to become a person of success, but rather try to become a person of value." -- Albert Einstein

We will instead lean into my modern or urban-esque quotes that you may not know.

Turns out all the above quotes are from Nasir Jones - the Rapper known as "Nas"

My intention was to use quotes from many artists and figures, but Nas just had so many I decided to go that route. Some quotes are directly from his songs. Some are from interviews. All our profound to me.
