Faucet Issues

Gridcoinstats runs one of the most used Gridcoin (GRC) faucets available. This made it quite an issue when it failed on some transactions.

What happened?

The faucet has to do a few checks whenever someone sends a payment address, like making sure that it's actually a real Gridcoin payment address. The verification on the faucet had an issue when it verified a specific type of address, and validated it as a valid address.

This in turn made the payment fail when it was running, not being able to send out the Transaction.

Fixes

The verification script now catch this faulty address on submission, and will say that it's an invalid address.

About the missing payments

During the time of 2018-06-29 and 2018-07-06 the base payment reward was some days failing. All these claims are on record and can easily be sorted out since they are missing a TX Id. In the coming days I will create a single transaction including all these missing claims.
