Total hit to PNB may exceed 3 Billion dollars
It is revealed by the tax authorities that banks had extended loans and guarantees worth Rs. 17,632 crore (equel to $2.74 billion) to companies tied to billionaire jeweller Nirav Modi and his uncle Mehul Choksi as of March 2017. Since then, the amount may have increased to abouve 3 billion over the last year.
