Chi-town is My Town
Chicago is one of those big cities with a small town feel. While I certainly do not miss the weather, growing up here had given me a sense of belonging to a community that believed in incremental hard work, dedication and above all else loyalty (you better be rooting for the Chicago Bulls!).
I always used to say that Chicagoans care about 4 things: Drinking, Eating, Sports, and Drinking. Not much has changed when I go visit home to see family and friends - although much less of all of the above. I guess I somewhat evolved into new habits and likes as an Angeleno. But still, Chicago will always have my heart - the vibe in the Summer is unmatched and having a boat in Lake Michigan for 3 years were some of the most fun moments that I will always remember.
