Ladybird - Coccinellidae The Gardeners Best Friend
There are many types in this beetle family but this reddish orange with black spots has to be the most known. They are useful in the garden and a great friend to gardeners as they eat aphids and other pests - often laying their eggs directly into aphid colonies to be the most effective.
As a vegetable gardener I am always happy to see them.
