a wood duck couple
One of my favorite finds in the local marsh, the Wood Duck. These waterbirds tend to be highly skiddish and are difficult to photograph (at least for me!). This pair were in the water, but as soon as I approached, the flew off to the nearby tree above. I grabbed a photo, wished them well, and kept on walking...
