In this update, I want to share what’s cooking behind the scenes 🔥 — from open-source contributions to running video encoder nodes and exciting app progress updates. So grab a cup of coffee ☕ and let’s dive in!

💻 Open Source Journey – TechCoderLabz is Live!

I recently started a new GitHub organization called TechCoderLabz 🎉

This was inspired by none other than @techcoderx (my special friend on Hive and also a witness — don’t forget you can vote for him 😉).

Earlier, I was pushing code under my individual account, but now everything is structured under an organization. Why? Because:

• ✅ Transparency
• ✅ Collaboration
• ✅ Community-driven growth
• ✅ Future contributors can join easily

This initiative is heavily inspired by amazing contributors like:

• @meno
• @eddiespino
• @tibfox

They continuously contribute and publish their work as open source for Hive. Truly inspiring stuff! 🙌

Now, everything I build for Hive is publicly available. Anyone can review, contribute, fork, improve — that’s the power of decentralization! 💪

And yes… more contributors like @alessandrawhite, @bitterirony, or anyone interested can join this org in the future. Let’s build together! 🚀

TechCoderLabz is not just a repository collection — it’s a long-term commitment to structured, transparent and scalable Hive development. Step by step, we are building a strong foundation for future tools, apps, and infrastructure services that the Hive ecosystem can rely on. 🧱✨

🎥 3Speak Video Encoder Nodes – Running 6 Systems!

Now let’s talk infrastructure 😎

As you know, 3Speak requires video encoder nodes. Unlike YouTube (which is centralized), 3Speak runs on a decentralized model where community members power the infrastructure.

Why are encoder nodes important?

When you upload to YouTube:

• The video gets processed
• Divided into chunks
• Streamed instantly without full download

On 3Speak, we replicate this — but in a decentralized way 🌍

And I’m proud to say…

👉 I’m running 6 systems dedicated to encoder nodes!

Here’s the setup:

• 💻 2 laptops (left side)
• 💻 2 laptops (right side)
• 🖥️ 1 powerful desktop
• 💻 Plus occasionally my personal laptop

That’s right — multiple machines working together to strengthen Hive decentralization!

Big shoutout to @meno for continuously pushing updates and improving decentralization of encoder nodes 👏
Also appreciation to @tibfox, @eddiespino and all other node operators who keep this ecosystem alive.

My job?

• 🔄 Keep nodes updated
• 👀 Monitor performance
• ⚙️ Apply rolling updates
• 💡 Ensure smooth operation
• 🛠️ Debug when things break

This is hardware contribution + time + electricity + effort — all for Hive 💙

And trust me… sometimes machines behave like toddlers 😅 but we keep pushing forward!

📱 Distriator App – Approved but Delayed 😅

Good news first:

✅ The application is approved!
✅ Ready to go live!

However…

After speaking with Apple support and making the required payment, they informed me:

• ⏳ Minimum wait: 24 hours
• ⏳ Maximum wait: 3–4 working days

Since it’s already Friday here in Bharat 🇮🇳, it will most likely go live next week.

A little bummer… but fingers crossed 🤞

Still, approval itself is a big milestone! Getting through review is never a small thing. So we celebrate small wins too 🎉

🌐 HiveFestLeaks Web App – Tested, Fixed & Improved!

Now the exciting part!

We spoke with @louis88, and he tested the HiveFestLeaks web application.

First attempt?
❌ Not working properly.

Why?
I accidentally missed some environment variables during deployment 🤦‍♂️

Classic developer moment 😅

Quick fix:

• Identified the issue
• Updated configuration
• Redeployed the app
• Re-tested everything

Second attempt?
✅ Working perfectly!

@louis88 suggested adding a list of HiveFest attendees inside the application — and I loved the idea! So that feature is coming soon.

HiveFestLeaks is designed to bring more engagement, transparency, and fun around HiveFest activities. And yes…

This project will also be open source 💙
No funding. No grants. Just pure passion.

Everything I’m doing right now is:

• Not funded
• Not sponsored
• Not monetized

It’s purely passion-driven.

Running encoder nodes, deploying web apps, building mobile apps, maintaining infrastructure — all of it requires real effort and resources. But when you believe in decentralization, you don’t measure only in dollars — you measure in impact 🌍

Maybe one day, with enough support and votes, we can sustain development financially. But for now?
