Spend Your Money Where it Really Does Good.
Hi friends! It’s World Cup Football time. The fact that is created all over the world when the World Cup comes with an unique expression of people's love for the game. There is nothing wrong with supporting your favorite team, flying the flag, or celebrating by wearing your favorite color jersey. But when this emotion takes an unbalanced and destructive form, it is no longer joyful, but rather a cause for concern.
The most tragic thing is the premature death of young people while hanging the flag or getting shocked by electric wires on the roof of their houses. In Bangladesh recently a young boy died by electric shock while he was hanging a flag of Brasil. But it has no affect on others. The excited people don't know that nothing can be greater than the excitement of a game. Is it really reasonable to buy a flag by risking your life or spending money recklessly? When we are emotionally driven and spend money on the flag by selling land or borrowing money beyond our means, then we are neglecting our responsibilities and duties. Recently a senior citizen of Bangladesh has been made 7 kilometer long Germany flag by selling land where a lot of poor people are struggling for food in Bangladesh.
In our society, many people do not get enough to eat twice a day. But isn't it extreme moral degradation to compete with the huge size of the flag or show humanity without standing next to those helpless people? True patriotism or love for sports teaches brotherhood and compassion among people. But this current frenzy is taking us away from that human feeling. It is good to have emotions, but if those emotions are inhuman or suicidal, then it is defintely to be avoided.
Sports should be our source of entertainment, not the cause of destruction of life. It is necessary to remember that a priceless human life is much more valuable than winning the World Cup trophy. Let understand, not blind emotions.
