Humans Used to Sleep Twice a Night, Waking Mid-Night Is Normal

Very interesting!People not always sleep 8 hours straight. Long time ago, humans sleep two times at night. First sleep early evening, then wake little, do things like pray, write, check animals, then sleep second time until morning.
Why now we sleep one time only? Electric light, lamps, factory work make people stay awake longer, now "single sleep" common. But experiments show in dark places without clocks, people go back two-sleep pattern.
Waking middle night normal! Relax, maybe read book in dim light, no stress. Calmness help sleep again.
