Mi experiencia como profesora de baile en Venezuela 💃🏻| [Esp][Eng]

Durante el mes de Mayo me llego un mensaje inesperado de la directora de la academia de baile en donde estoy actualmente formándome. Dicho mensaje decía lo siguiente:

Ustedes no se imaginan la felicidad y emoción que me abordo ese día, no podía creer que algo así me estaba pasando. Pues yo no me creía que tenía la capacidad para llevar adelante a un grupo de baile, así fuera de niñas pequeñas.😳

Y sí, sé que estuve en un grupo de dance covers donde era la líder, pero es muy distinto, puesto que era entre amigas, y esto ya era algo como más profesional. Así que nada, obviamente dije que sí, y esa misma tarde me fui a la academia.

No les voy a mentir, estaba bastante nerviosa por estar al frente dirigiendo, pero se sintió realmente bonito estar allí enseñando. La clase transcurrió sin inconvenientes, ese día les enseñé una coreografía de kpop, ya que mi mente estaba en blanco y claro, no tenía previsto dar una clase tan pronto.😅

Al finalizar la clase, tuve una pequeña reunión con la directora donde concretamos que sería la nueva profesora del grupo Kids. 🧏🏻‍♀️

Hoy se cumplen dos meses desde que comencé a dar clases, y ha sido toda una aventura, me ha gustado mucho y de cierta forma me ha reconfortado, pues a las niñas les han gustado los bailes que les he presentado y nos hemos sentido muy cómodas todas. 🙂‍↔️

Aún se siente raro que me llamen “profesora” pero al mismo tiempo me alegra el corazón porque me dieron una oportunidad para demostrar mis conocimientos y me ayuda también a explorar esa creatividad en el baile que hasta el momento no había sido capaz de desarrollar. 💫

In May, I got an unexpected message from the director of the dance academy where I’m currently training. The message said:

Hi rosy, how are you? ❤️ would you like to teach the girls?

You have no idea how happy and excited I was that day. I couldn’t believe something like this was happening to me. Honestly, I never thought I was capable of leading a dance group, even if it was just a group of little kids. 😳

And yes, I know I was in a dance cover group where I was the leader, but that was totally different—it was just among friends. This felt way more professional. So of course, I said yes, and that same afternoon I went straight to the academy.

Not gonna lie, I was super nervous about standing there in front of everyone and leading, but it actually felt really special to be teaching. The class went smoothly, and that day I taught them a K-pop choreography since my mind was totally blank—I definitely hadn’t planned on teaching so soon. 😅

At the end of the class, I had a little meeting with the director where we agreed that I’d become the new teacher for the Kids group. 🧏🏻‍♀️

Today marks two months since I started teaching, and it’s been such an adventure. I’ve really enjoyed it, and in many ways it’s been comforting. The girls have liked the dances I’ve brought to them, and we’ve all felt super comfortable together. 🙂‍↔️

It still feels a bit strange to hear them call me “teacher,” but at the same time it fills my heart with joy because I was given this chance to show what I know and to explore a side of my dance creativity that I hadn’t been able to develop before. 💫
