Friendship matters

Tamara is an orphan who lost her parents at the tender age of 6 and since then her uncle Barrister Afolarin has taken the responsibility of taking care of her. She's a student of the Federal Government Girls College (FGGC) Osun State. She had two close friends whose names are Becky and Naomi. Tamara fell ill and for that reason she couldn't attend school for a week but her friends didn't pay her a visit and she wasn't happy about it. She resumed back to school the following week and confronted her friends on why they didn't check up on her.

(Conversation between Tamara and her friends)
Tamara - Hey girls

Becky- Hi, Tamara how are you?

Naomi- Tamara what happened you weren't seen in school for a week

Tamara - (angrily) well thanks to God am not dead. You both did not see me in school and you couldn't check up on me and you call yourselves my friends.

Naomi- (in a faint voice) I wanted to stop by at your place the other day but my mum sent me on an errand

Becky- I even thought you had already left for your cousins wedding party that you told us about and I told Naomi that's why.

Tamara- oh really,even though I told you both that I was going to travel at least I didn't give you a date you should have just come over to my place to even check if really I travelled. So, my dear friends that's not an excuse.

Becky- Please, Tamara our dear friend forgive our ignorance we were wrong. We should have tried checking on you to know what really happened.

Naomi- Please, baby girl accept our apology we are sorry

Tamara- Don't you know that all this little things counts checking up on each other as friends it means we love each other and it would be appreciated.

Becky and Naomi (in chorus) we are sorry

Tamara - Its okay I forgive you both. After all, we are friends

Becky- Thank you dear

Naomi- Thank you so much Tamara. Hope you are much better now?

Tamara- Yes! Am very healthy now thanks to God

Becky- We are now cool right?

Tamara- Yes we are

Naomi- Henceforth we promise to be there for each other

Tamara- (smiles) I missed you girls

Becky and Naomi- We missed you too
