Throwback Video 015/015

I can't remember what exactly it was that I saw, but I remember I wandered past a TV and saw something like the Daily Show, making jokes about the corruption of our governments and I thought, man, people are laughing at this, and it's like it's absolved. I think that was when I sat down and wrote this song, just caught up completely in the dissonant feeling that can only come from watching people blindly laughing as they're being robbed, pushed around, and sent off to die. I don't know. I also noticed in that time, that I may look back at all this and think I was being overly dramatic in my interpretation of things - this is why my many sides don't always share the same belief, what I may know with confidence in one moment, is always just one piece away from being disproved and cleaved from the bone...but the ideas wanted a way out, and this is the vehicle I was able to make for them :)
