A very simple way to spend a simple and good life is that firstly set a goal and make your life meaningful for yourself and others then make a plan for it then set your priorities with their importance for your aim.
Don't waste your time on unnecessary things life is too short and there is a lot of things to do. So focus on your life and on your aim.
