Knock #1

This is a short beat I put together a couple months ago for Decap’s “Battles That Knock” producer challenge.

Out of something like 250 participants, with each having to cast three votes to qualify, I got... ZERO votes. 😹

Whether it was because my style wasn’t to the taste of that community, many others used more basic compositions that could be pushed much harder with a limiter to make them sound louder (and thus stand out) in comparison, many have shitty taste, pure luck of the draw, or my stuff isn’t as good as I’d like to believe... who knows.

(Or maybe that’s just the Venus in 12th house curse - the talents fated to remain hidden. 🤷‍♂️)

In any case, it’s still a pretty dope beat with some serious gritty guitar-driven swagger.
