Pinangat
Pinangat is one of the famous dishes in Bicol, particularly in Camalig, Albay. It is a mixed crab meat, meat of young coconut, spices, chili (optional) wrapped in taro leaves and tied with any kitchen string. It is placed into a deep pot then poured with the pure coconut milk, simmer under medium fire until half of the coconut milk already evaporated.
Bicolano's love spicy foods when cooking, original pinangat is spicy but some foreigners do not want it spicy so they make pinangat without chili. Camalig, Albay have many pinangat restaurants already which can be seen along the roads.
