I am very excited because the last two months I did a little tomato planting at home in some baskets made of sticks and sack bags that I used as pots for my plants.

The process was a lot of fun and with good results in my little garden. But what I really want to show you was the process of making the pot of sticks using only sticks and vines to tie them together.

Materials

• 50 40" sticks
• Vines

Step by Step

The first thing is to look for the materials, sticks and vines. These were the vines I looked for.

As you can see you should use a vine that is still green because it will be elastic, you can also use a vine that has a brown color but as long as it is not hard and has flexibility we can make the crosses or knots to create the basket.

We must create 5 faces of 10 sticks on each face, which must be 5 horizontal and 5 vertical, in my case!

Then we proceed to make the knots, what we must do is to create a kind of little ears with the tangles and between that little ear we must pass the tip of one of the ends. This way you will have a firm knot that will allow the rigidity of the basket.

In this way we continue doing the same thing with each of the points.

This is the result of the basket with all its knots and ties.

Here I show you how I made the sowing of the sprouts of the tomato plants. I only placed a bag as a bed for the soil and compost.

After two months the fruits are already big.

Very healthy tomatoes thank goodness.

This was the first tomato to be born from the plant and at the same time the first to ripen. Very happy for the result and for this small orchard. I hope this way of making baskets as pots will be very useful for you! Greetings.

Hola que tal amigos, espero que esten muy bien. Que todos sus proyectos y cosas positivas y de crecimiento que tengan en mente se les puedan dar. Estoy muy emocionado porque los ultimos dos meses realicé una pequeña siembra de tomate en casa en algunas cestas de palos y de bolsas de sacos que utilicé de macetas para mis plantas.

El proceso fue muy divertido y con buenos resultados en mi pequeño huerto. Pero lo que en realidad les quiero mostrar fue el proceso de elaboración de la maceta de palos utilizando unicamente palos y enredaderas para amarrar estos.

Materiales

Paso a Paso

Lo primero es buscar los materiales, palos y enredaderas. estas fueron las enredaderas que yo busqué.

Como pueden ver deben utilizar una enredadera que aun este verde ya que esta será elastica, tambien pueden utilizar una que tenga color marron pro siempre que esta no este dura y tenga flexibilidad podemos hacer los cruces o nudos para poder crear la cesta.

Debemos crear 5 caras de 10 palos en cada cara, los cuales deben estar 5 horizontales y 5 verticales, en mi caso!

Luego procedemos hacer los nudos, lo que debemos hacer es crear una especie de orejitas con las enrededareas y entre esa orejita debemos pasar la punta de uno de los extremos. Asi tendra un nudo firme y que permita la rigidez de la cesta.

De esta manera seguimos haciendo lo mismo con cada uno de los puntos

Este es el resultado de la cesta con todos sus nudos y amarres.

Aqui les muestro como realicé la siembra de los brotes de las matas de tomate. Solo coloqúe una bolsa como cama para la tierra y el abono.

Pasado dos meses los frutos ya estan grandes.

Tomates muy sanos gracias a Dios.

Este fue el primer tomate que nació de la planta y a la vez el primero que se maduró. Muy feliz por el resultado y por este peqeño huerto. Espero que esta forma de hacer cestas como macetas les sirva mucho! Saludos.
