#my2017top5 Contest Winners Announcement
First of all, I have to say "Wow!", the participation in this contest was really off the charts, at least by my standards!
Btw I'm currently running a new contest you should try your hand at!
And I'm happy to see that there were also many prominent steemians who did the challenge declining to participate in the contest, giving minnows a better chance at earning some SBDs.
I'd really like to thank everybody who upvoted the post and especially the non-participants which allowed a very nice reward pool. I'd also like to thank @futurethinker who really helped popularize the contest and him and
@deirdyweirdy for taking the time to look through and upvote entires! Of course, I also tried to do the same, but my upvote was really stretched thin.
Altogether, there were almost 50 entries which meant a total of almost 300 posts for me to go through to determine the winners. This was hard not only because it took a lot of time, but also because narrowing it down to just a few winners was pretty much impossible. There were literally tons of outstanding posts.
To help me reward some additional people, I also posted a promo video for the contest on DTube with 60% of the SBDs from that also going to rewards! This means I will be able to reward a total of 5 participants. 3 people are going to split the reward pool generated by the orginal post, and two more people are going to split the smaller reward pool generated by the dtube video.
The original post generated 13.968 SBD resulting in 8.381 SBD designated for rewards leading to 2.794 SBD per winner.
So without further ado, here are the winners in no particular order:
@raj808 - Entry
@kristyglas - Entry
@senorcoconut - Entry
Those winners have already been paid:
The payouts for the other two winners will be calculated and paid out after the promo video post pays out, but here they are:
@yahialababidi - Entry
@stanleyc-md - Entry
Edit: Second batch of payouts done! :)
My DTube video post has paid out so it's time to relay that to the winners.
60% of that is 0.482 SBD or 0.241 SBD each. Not huge, but still something.
Couldn't resist altering the amount a tiny bit to get a palindrome ;)
