"For no particular reason..." #24 - Staff matters

It really does.
Picture this: you're checking in at a 4star hotel abroad and nobody in the reception speaks english. 😐 Nothing good comes after this.

• Triple room and just one key. 👱👱👱🔑 I ask for copies, they say they don't have because previous costumers took them. We were staying for 6 nights so I thought it was a matter of time. Apparently not. No keys and that's it.

• No info about wifi, password, breakfast time and location... not even about the room location which was two buildings away.

• And no info about swimming pool towels. So I went to the pool and nobody speaks english. I asked how to get a towel, the lifeguard hands me a foam stick. I tried the reception again, they sent me to the info point. - to the left... follow the signs. - the signs pointed to the restaurant and the swimming pool; nothing about the info point. I had to ask other clients that were passing by to find out where the famous infopoint was.

• Infopoint: each towel 10€ loan + 10€ deposit.😜

• Bar... guess what? nobody speaks english. It was a challenge to get something other than beer. 5 out of 6 cocktails needed lime. They're out of lime for almost two days. I asked the other cocktail... they don't know how to make it and I end up giving instructions. 🍸

Nice location and pleasant facilities are needed but a functioning staff makes wonders. You don't think about it much because there are minimum standards you expect to be fulfilled. Not always...
