Weeklyish Running Update...
In retrospect I think I had quite a tired week's running this week - I've been on a diet and the heat... and a trip to Paw Patrol World on Friday didn't help either!
Anyway, I've still very much enjoyed myself!
Wednesday Intervals...
Annoyingly the track was closed for school sports days so I headed out around the local park for some lazyish intervals, I much prefer the track!
Laps...
Saturday Park Run
I was feeling a bit tired and it was quite hot, so I just took it easy!
Monday's Run plus 'strides'
I decided I wanted to introduce strides at the end of of my slow runs - which are basically short sprints of 100-200M not quite max, say 90%....
I did 6K slow rather than 6.5K
NB the last 200M was faster to get warmed up for the strides, so the HR will be a little higher on average...
And then 4 strides...
NB the first one was supposed to be the warm up, but there you go, I'll do better next time. I think I'm just gonna aim for 6 of these, maybe 7 to allow for one actual warm up next time!
