LeoMobile V1 - Trying Android app for the First Time

Probably I am a bit late to start with the LeoMobile app but I am sure there would be many who are yet to give it a try. It's not that I was not aware of the app but I just did not give it a try before however now is the day when I installed the app and used it for a few hours. I did it after reading the post shared by @leofinance and hoping that my Leo experience will be better after the app in my android device.

I use the Android 11 version and this app is compatible with my OD version. I installed the app and it hardly took a minute to download and install which means the app is lite and not so heavy in the phone.

Once I open the app, I got these options to log in and I choose Hivesigner which is a reliable and trustable mode to log in on to hive dapps. Good to see that they have also provided the option to log in through other social media like Facebook and Twitter. This gives more exposure to the people who are not able to log in using the hive or they don't want to use the hivesigner. Even there is an option to sign-up for a new account and it's a good addition I believe because new users can create an account easily through this.

After logging in I was able to see home curated feed was visible and good to see that the LPUD post made by @belemo is showing. I will be taking part in LPUD and this is a useful article.

I checked my profile and its UI is nice. This page is easy for the eyes with a neat and clean user interface. I can see my followers and following along with my account information and my last post is also visible here that I made 2 hours back.

Opened my wallet and here my Leo wallet, as well as my hive wallet, is shown. Even my current voting power is here but there is no way to transact here which I think should be part of future development and Leo team will surely add it.

Moving on to the settings page, where I can see some options and I changed it as per my convenience and it is easy to change. Settings like- font change, Leo signature, double-tap voting, and even setting Leo as post beneficiary.

On the next page, I checked the trending post and here the trending post is for the LeoMobile v1 update which I already discussed above.

There are so many options for themes and we can one out of 16 whichever we think is good for us or we can also keep on changing as per our mood. The dark mode is also available which is in demand these days because people like to use it for easy viewing in the night and even I use it sometimes so a really useful feature I would say.

I have explored all the pages and options provided in the app and it's a nice app. I would like to mention a few points here-

• Android app is fast to install and works flawlessly. I used it for a few hours today and there was no lag at all. I tried opening and closing the app multiple times and it worked smoothly without crashing.
• Font and color options are good and we have variety here so we can choose the one as per our preference.
• Search works nice and comments are faster so everything with the app is so good.

Creating a new post option seems easy but I did not try because I am someone who is better in typing through the keyboard and this is why I will continue to use the web version for post creation. Earlier I was using the mobile website in mobile and it also works nice but now with the app, my experience is going to be mobile and I can catch up on things easily. I can engage more and this will help me stay updated on the move. The only thing I missed is about wallet transactions and I hope the Leofinance team will consider it with future updates and the rest is very good.
